THE FIELD LIBRARY / LEVELING FIELD NOTES
A Deskrawl build leveling guide for deliberate decisions
A repeatable planning process: set a budget, save a baseline, change one variable and record what actually happens.
Scope: this is a planning method, not a tested level-by-level route. No claims of optimal leveling speed, XP per hour or guaranteed clears are made.
Start a Deskrawl leveling build with the points you have
Read the point budget in your game and enter it into the planner. Do not assume that level 30 means 30 available talent points: the level-to-point rule has not been verified for this dataset. Your first saved version should represent an allocation you can actually use.
Name the draft after its purpose, such as “survival comparison,” and record your equipment, stage, difficulty and active abilities in the notes. These details let you distinguish a talent change from an equipment upgrade when comparing results later.
Choose one bottleneck before spending talent points
If a run fails because you die, a damage-only change may not answer the immediate problem. If you survive but frequently run out of resources, examine costs and recovery conditions. These are diagnostic questions, not guarantees that a particular talent will solve them.
Start with one hypothesis: “Would more defense reduce failed attempts?” or “Does this conditional bonus activate often enough here?” A focused hypothesis gives the next test a clear purpose and reduces the chance of crediting the wrong change.
Plan Warrior talent milestones without guessing a leveling order
The source lists thresholds from zero through 60 points. Save separate links at the point budgets that matter to your character. A final allocation does not encode a proven order of investment; you can document your intended sequence in the notes and check each intermediate version in the planner.
- Create an allocation at your current budget and save its link.
- Increase the budget only when those points are available, or label the draft as a future plan.
- Add the supporting talents required by a later tier before trying to unlock it.
- Save the next milestone as a new link, with the changed conditions in its notes.
Compare Deskrawl build variants under matching conditions
Keep stage, difficulty, gear, ability selection and available points the same where possible. Record multiple runs rather than treating one result as conclusive. Track failed attempts alongside completion time: a fast successful attempt may hide a fragile setup.
| Record | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Game version and date | Balance changes can invalidate older observations. |
| Talent share link | Preserves the exact tested allocation. |
| Equipment and abilities | Helps isolate what changed between runs. |
| Stage and difficulty | Keeps the encounter comparable. |
| Run times and failed attempts | Captures speed and consistency together. |
Check a shared Deskrawl build before applying it
Read its notes and dataset version. Check whether the author states how it was tested or only describes an idea. Compare important talent tooltips with the live game. Unknown values, a changed patch or different equipment are reasons to investigate before spending in-game resources.
The three worksheets on this site demonstrate allocation patterns. They are not evidence of community consensus or tested recommendations. For exact recorded talent caps and source descriptions, use the Warrior talent reference.
